Jones, John Salisbury Renaldo, fl. 1800-1835 : John Salisbury Renaldo Jones served in India as an officer of the British Army, 1805-1825. He returned to England, where he spent several years in unsuccessful efforts, to secure a promotion that he felt was due to him. About 1835, he retired from the service and emigrated to Canada, settling in Compton County, Lower Canada.
