Three photographic albums, one relating primarily to the Simpson family in Lower Canadam, including many images of the Soulanges Canal, ca. 1895; a second album relating to the Simpson and Perry families of Lower canada and Toronto, ca. 1890-1900; and a third album relating primarily to the governorship of Lord and Lady Aberdeen between 1894 and 1900. Included in this last album are many photos of private theatricals at Rideau Hall, as well as formal staff photos prior to the opening of Parliament, and photographs of the Aberdeen family skating, or dressed for court ceremonials.
