Fonds is comprised of a letterbook kept by Lin Shih Yuan for the period 8 November 1914 to 29 May 1915. Subjects include head tax payments on Chinese immigrants, deportation of immigrants, estates of dead Chinese, arms shipments to China, and protests against British Columbian laws restricting Chinese employment. Two-thirds of the letters are in Chinese, one-third in English. Most of the English letters are addressed to Canadian Government officials. A nominal index is included at the beginning of the volume. Photocopy, 528 pages.
