Graydon, Gordon, 1896-1953 : Gordon Graydon, born in 1896 at Snelgrove, Ont., received his education from the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1924, and practised law at Brampton, Ont.

Graydon was a Member of the House of Commons, representing Peel County, Ont., 1935-1953. During this period, he was National Chairman, Conservative Party of Canada, 1941-1943, President of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, 1943, and Progressive Conservative House Leader and Leader of the Opposition, 1943-1945.
