Fonds consists of textual material such as programmes, music, clippings and memorabilia mainly relating to the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir under the direction of A.S. Vogt. Prints include works by Owen Staples entitled Toronto in 1908, Grey Old London and Peace on Earth.

Fonds consists of photographs of portraits of A.S. Vogt, founder and first conductor of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, and of E.B. Shuttleworth, wholesale druggist and professor of chemistry at the University of Toronto.

Shuttleworth, Gertrude : Gertrude Shuttleworth sang in the alto section of the Mendelssohn Choir, Toronto, Ont. She was the daugher of E.G. Shuttleworth, a wholesale druggist and professor of chemistry at the University of Toronto. Shuttleworth married J.A. Blakey of Toronto.
