Fonds consists of the manuscript, "Poetry at Three Quarters", composed of edited transcripts from the proceedings of a poet's conference held at Dalhousie University in February 1976. Among the participants were Louis Dudek, David Helwig, Joe Rosenblatt, Robert Creeley, and Jon Stallworthy. Subjects discussed included the works of T.S. Eliot, Robert Frost, Ezra Pound, Allan Ginsberg, Margaret Atwood, Irving Layton and Leonard Cohen, literary criticism, the "beat" generation, the state of poetry in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, the McGill movement, and the development of Canadian poetry. Photocopy, 171 pages.

Poburko, Nicolas S : Nicolas Poburko, university professor, taught in the English Department of Dalhousie University, before going to the United States. While in Halifax, he assisted at a conference which brought together poets from Canada, Great Britain and the United States to discuss various aspects of poetry in February 1976. Dr. Poburko edited the transcripts of the discussion groups into a manuscript entitled "Poetry at Three Quarters".
