Nordling, Otto, fl. 1814-1959 : Otto Nordling lived for some 25 years in the Yukon. In 1914, he established a school at Gold Run Creek to enable himself and other miners to learn English. In 1959, he was elected Vice-President of the International Sourdoughs. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces in World War II and was stationed at Army Headquarters in Ottawa from 1947 to 1952. He worked for a number of years as a bank clerk in Vancouver.
