Fonds consists of a letter from W.E.D. Halliday to Margaret E. Wilson thanking her for the loan of two letters sent to her by Norman R. Walsh, a Rideau Canal worker and local historian. Also included in fonds are copies of the two letters from Walsh to Wilson. Walsh's letters deal with the Nicholson, Stafford and McGuigan families, United Empire Loyalists who settled along the Rideau River in Grenville and Lanark counties. A copy of an obituary of Walsh, printed in a Merrickville newspaper, is also included.
