Biography/Administrative history:

Ketchum, Carleton J, b. 1898 : Carleton J. Ketchum, journalist, worked on the staffs of the Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Province before accepting a position with Lord Beaverbrook's London, England, Daily Express, in 1921. As a roving reporter with the Daily Express, he gained a reputation for his special features on the uprisings in Ireland, in 1922, and his recovery of the Russian Royal family letters, in 1928. In 1933, Ketchum left the Daily Express and returned to Canada where he made lecture tours and wrote feature articles for Canadiana publications.
