Item is an autobiographical account of Boville's youth and his career with the Department of Finance, apparently written some time after the creation of the Bank of Canada in 1934. Original, 18 pages.

Boville, T. Cooper, born 1860 : T. Cooper Boville, public servant, born in 1860 in Ireland, came to Canada with his parents in 1874. The family settled in Ottawa, where Boville attended the local Collegiate Institute. He received a B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1884. Boville joined the Department of Finance as a clerk in 1883. He became the Deputy Minister of the Department in 1906 and remained in that position until his retirement in 1920.
