McGillivray, Duncan, d. 1808 : Duncan McGillivray (d. 1808), fur trader, was a nephew of Simon McTavish. He entered the North West Company about 1793, serving first in the Upper Fort des Prairies department. In 1799, he returned to Montreal as a partner in McTavish, Frobisher & Co., then went back to Fort William, 1802-1807.
