Fonds consists of seven record books kept by Joseph Benjamin from 1930 to 1980 containing the dates of death, Yarzheit, names of deceased, cemetery sections and names of cemeteries for this period. A complete set of file cards of deceased persons handled by Benjamin's Park. The cards contain information about the deceased which supplements that found in the record books.

Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel : Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel was founded in 1922, by Henry Benjamin who was a member of one of the early Chevrah Kadishah fellowships of Toronto. He served the Jewish community with care and respect, observing the traditions and rites associated with Jewish burial and mourning practices.

After Henry Benjamin's death in 1939, the chapel (known as the Park Memorial Chapel) was passed down to his son Joseph, who served the Jewish community for forty years from its premises on Spadina Crescent. His son Michael became actively involved in 1965, assuming full responsibility in 1979. Joseph joined the Jewish Funeral Directors of America association in 1943. He and Michael have served as board members and have been active in the affairs of the Toronto Jewish community.

In August 1976, the chapel moved to its present location at 1401 Steeles Avenue West.

This collection was transferred to the Ontario Jewish Archives in 2024.
