Fonds consists of microfilmed material as follows: letterbook copies of correspondence from Washington Raymond chiefly to Hon. Joseph Cunard regarding the possibilities of employment in Mr. Cunard's business, dated 1844-1847; Washington Raymond's personal diary recording weather, daily activities and other personal observations together with copies of letters sent to various persons describing his state of health, his relations with Mr. Cunard, business prospects, various recipes, home remedies and advice, dated 1843-1850. This material is located on microfilm reel M-2335. The diary is also available in typescript.

Raymond, Washington, fl. ca. 1840-1859 : Washington Raymond was a New Brunswick businessman during the 1840s and 1850s. He had close business relations with the Honourable Joseph Cunard. Eventually, Raymond was employed by Cunard during the 1840s.
