5 photographs : col.Language of material:EnglishScope and content:Collection taken by a member of the Soeurs du Sacre Coeur d'Ottawa, Sister Liliane, while the order was at the Pukatawagan Reserve in northern Manitoba from ca.1954 to the mid 1960's. The collection offers a rare view of life inside a community of religious women in the period just before the radical changes of Vatican ll. There is extensive coverage of numerous activities and life on the reserve including weddings, funerals, school activities, housing conditions, and the relationship of the religious community to the indigenous community.Additional information:Custodial history:This material was rescued from a religious building on the Pukatawagan Reserve before it was to be torn down.
