Lande. / The artist was a British Officer who at one time was employed / by David Ross McCord to sketch historical sites around Montreal. / Nun's Island has been the abode of the Congregation of Notre Dame / for more than two and one-half centuries. This Order was founded / by Marguerite Bourgeoys. Nun's Island was sold in 1957. / Linked by a new bridge to the north and south shores, the Island is the / site of a new residential development.
