A bronze medal commemorating the capture of Québec City by the British in 1759 at the culmination of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. The British Army was led by General James Wolfe while the navy was led by Admiral Charles Saunders (both commemorated on the obverse side of this medal). Though the French would continue to fight and win several battles after this loss, they would never again hold the city and would eventually cede all of their territory to Britain.

The obverse side of this medal displays an allegorical bust of Great Britain in the form of a woman.

The reverse side of this medal displays a scene of a winged Victory (representing Britain) crowning French armour with a laurel wreath. At the feet of Victory sits a young man, bound and held captive (presumably Québec or the French).
