The collection consists of some 478 items documenting largely his work to the Lake Melville Expedition, Labrador, 1921 for the Hydrographic Branch of the Dept. of Naval Service and by the Tidal and Current Survey of the Dept. of Marine; also, some views of the Hamilton Inlet Expedition, Labrador, of 1923; Jones covered largely his stay in Cape Breton, specially in Baddeck and the Big Bras d'Or area and St. Paul Island, N.S.; Jones travelled across Canada and took photos from the West Coast, Quebec and Maritimes between 1923-1931.
