This accession consists of textual operational records dating from 1956-1990 created and/or maintained by the Manitoba Regional Office and the Thompson District Office of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs. The files are grouped by office of origin. Records from the Thompson District Office are Indian Economic Development Fund case files (block 19-7- in the department's old modified duplex numeric record keeping system) from 1956-1990, are arranged according to the department's current subject block numeric system and include but are not limited to the following operational files: Education, Policing, Mining, Social Development, Child and Family Services, and Income Support.
