Scope and content:

The series consists of minutes of the General Court and Committees, 1770-1905 (MS. 7920, with indexes to the first three volumes in MS. 7921); minutes of committees, 1807-1822 and 1869-1884 (MS. 7923 and 7924); minutes of the Commissioners for Indian Affairs at Boston, Massachusetts, 1699-1784 (MS. 7953) and in New Brunswick, 1787-1818 (MS. 7954). This material is located on microfilm reels A-284 to A-287 and A-294.

In addition, there are General Court and Committee minute books from 1906 to 1926 (with document dates extending to the 1940s), volumes 8 to 10, (MS. 7920) with indexes. A significant portion of these records consists of reports of missionaries, either printed or typed. These reports contain parochial returns, correspondence, reports on pupils and other related documents. Subjects include the Mohawk Institute or Mohawk Institution, Six Nations, and churches in the Brantford area. This material is located on microfilm reels A-2155 to A-2157.
