Fonds consists of records of Hulbert's activities as an admiral's secretary, as a prize agent on the North American Station and on the Jamaica Station. The records consist of: accounts, ledgers, order books, court martial proceedings, letter books, correspondence and lists of ships, as well as correspondence and other records from the Navy Pay Office, Navy Prize Office, Greenwich Royal Hospital and the Treasury Office, and records relating to Bermuda. This material is located on microfilm reels A-2061 to A-2073.

Hulbert, George Redmond, 1774-1825 : George Redmond Hulbert acted as an admiral's secretary and prize agent early in the nineteenth century. He served on the North American Station in 1804 as secretary to Sir John Borlase Warren. Between 1808 and 1809, he exchanged with the secretary of Admiral Rowley on the Jamaica Station. He served again with Warren from 1810 to 1814, and on the North American Station from 1813 to 1814 when a large number of prizes were taken.
