The National Archives of Canada has acquired selected volumes of prints relating to a variety of subjects including the British North American fisheries, negotiations between Great Britian and the United States concerning general trade or the slave trade, boundaries between British North America and the United States, the destruction of the steamboat Caroline, the United States occupation of San Juan, the United States Civil War and the blockade of the Confederate States, French rights in the Newfoundland fishery, reciprocity between Canada and the United States, copyright conventions and extradition treaties between Great Britain and the United States, the Treaty of Washington, the Alaskan boundary, the Behring Sea seal fisheries, and various commissions for the settlement of questions between the United States, Canada or Newfoundland.
