The correspondence of a number of individuals with various contents. A letter from D.M. Martin to Alexander J. Christie, dated 13 April 1829, addresses the question of licencing physicians; P. Hubbard's letters to John J. White, dated 26 May 1840 and 19 August 1843, pertain to family matters; A.N. Morin wrote to J. Robinson on 3 July 1849 with regard to the Charleston Academy; and on 6 April 1866, William O'Brien wrote to his cousin about Fenian, raids, a Northern Railway and the discovery of oil at Mount Albert. Photocopies, 33 pages.

National Postal Museum (Canada) : The National Postal Museum was officially opened on September 27, 1974, as part of the Post Office Department and, later, as part of Corporate Communications, Canada Post Corporation. As part of its overall mandate and commitment to the development of philately and the study of postal history, the National Postal Museum maintained philatelic items, postal covers, artifacts, and other equipment, a research library and the national stamp collection. In 1988, part of the Museum's holdings, predominantly the philatelic records and the library, were transferred to the National Archives of Canada to become the Canadian Postal Archives. Other parts of the holdings, predominantly the artifacts, remained with the National Postal Museum, which joined the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the same year. In 1996 the name was changed to the Canadian Postal Museum. The Canadian Postal Museum presented exhibitions and other public programmes at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and circulated programmes to other museums. The Museum closed in 2012.
