Fonds consists of correspondence concerning Yukon politics and Spreadbury's duties with the White Pass and Yukon Route Company, 1911-1912, 0.4 cm (15 pages); memoranda including orders from North West Mounted Police officers, 1897-1898, 0.2 cm(4 pages); miscellaneous including discharge certificates from the North West Mounted Police and the Canadian Mounted Rifles, Newspaper clippings, a South African War medal ribbon and other souvenirs, 1888-1911, 60 cm. The fonds also contains photographs including shots of Spreadbury's daughters and 8th Avenue, Calgary, Alta., ca. 1910.

Spreadbury, Alfred : Alfred Spreadbury immigrated to Canada from Hampshire, England. He served with the North West Mounted Police from 1889 to 1902 including service with the Canadian Mounted Rifles during the South African War.
