Fonds cosists of personal correspondence, cancelled cheques and receipts, 1903-1914. The fonds also contains photographs depicting aspects of cadet training and life at Royal Military College, Kingston, Ont.; views of Madras, Ceylon, Hong Kong, and China; self-portrait of Allan C.T. Lewis, and portraits of his friends and relatives; all photos by Allan C.T. Lewis, 1904-1907.

Lewis, Allan C.T., 1885- : Allan C.T. Lewis, born in 1885 at Ottawa, Ont, received his education from Ashbury College, Royal Military College in Kingston, Ont., 1904-1907, and Osgoode Hall Law School, 1910. Upon graduation from the Royal Military College he became commanding Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Artilery (Permanent Force) and subsequently resigned to enter law. He joined his father's law firm Smellie and Lewis of Ottawa, Ont., in 1911. He was president and director of the Ottawa Electric Railway until its acquisition by the city of Ottawa, past president of the St. John Ambulance Association (Canadian Branch), and a member of the General Council of the Canadian Red Cross Society.
