Collection consists of ten documents relating to the Hudson's Bay Company fur trade, mainly accounts for various posts in what is now Manitoba. Included are accounts, invoices, lists of supplies, and lists of servants for the Swan River District (including Shoal River, Duck Bay, Island Lake, etc.), 1856-1869; a letter from W. Murdoch at Fort Garry to Alexander H. Murray at Fort Pelly on post business generally, movements of servants, and the Palliser Expedition, 1859; and fragment of minutes of a meeting of senior H.B.C. officials, including Resolutions 56 to 69 on the business of the Northern and Southern Departments, [ca. 1857].
