In this eighth episode of TAKING IT OFF we catch up with all the contestants as they move further into their journey towards losing the weight. It is thanksgiving at Lisa's family's house, and she discusses the unsupportive nature of her family. Cynthia talks about the difficulties in discussing her eating disorder with her family. Her sister is also suffering from difficulties with drugs, and Cynthia is concerned about the role her family is playing. Her parents find it difficult to discuss the issue on camera. Chris takes a cooking class to help him improve his diet, and Lisa is trying to focus on fitness activities she enjoys. Chris has a falling out with his trainer. He has purchased a home gym to try and make his own work out regime fit, and also goes to the boxing gym. She believes he does not have the drive to make the program work. Cynthia goes for cosmetic enhancements, and has her lips and forehead injected, as well as her eyeliner permanently put on. Lisa discusses her depression and the season's effect on her. She decides to wean herself of her medication. Chris and Cynthia each go out on the town. Weigh-in is a big success for Cory as he finally meets his 30 lb goal. He had made a deal with his girlfriend that he was not allowed to cut his hair until he lost that weight and is ecstatic he finally can loose his now long hair. <22mn>
