She served in the RAF and emigrated to Canada as a war bride after meeting her husband, Harold Diceman, while on active service. Professionally trained as an artist, she was commissioned and collaborated on the creation of numerous Canadian documents such as the Flag Proclamation, as well as the Books of Remembrance for the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and Newfoundland.
