Business Archives Council of Canada : The Council, a public service organization, was incorporated in May, 1968, following discussions of an organizing committee which met in late 1967. The purpose was to educate companies about the value of their records and to sponsor certain repositories as appropriate institutions to house historical business records. Discussions and lectures were scheduled for the benefit of members. The Council surrendered its charter and ceased operations in 1973.
