Information Processing Society of Canada : The Canadian Information Processing Society was founded in 1958 with the object of advancing computing and information processing. In 1968, the name was changed from the Computer and Data Processing Society of Canada to Information Processing Society of Canada. In 1969, the name was changed again, to Canadian Information Processing Society.
