Garrett, Alexander, fl. 1837 : Andrew Garrett joined the 49th Regiment at Montreal in June 1808. He was present at the Battle of Queenston, the Battle of Stoney Creek, and Fort George. In 1819 Garrett went on half pay and moved to Toronto. During the Rebellion of 1837, he took command of a company of volunteers.
