Field day events are chronicled with shots of: a horse race and soccer game, baseball game between the Cubs and Red Lions, children performing fan English folk play, and golfers at a local course. Additional shots of police, military personnel, and Boy Scouts assembling for a peace parade. Horse-drawn floats and automobiles pass by the camera and shots of participants in costumes representing various countries. The second reel depicts Canadian soldiers parading to the waterfront embarkation point on their way overseas. Shots of the assembled crowd and of the waterfront as seen from the ship. Additional footage of the troopship navigating icy waters off the Newfoundland coast.
