Fonds consists of a warrant for the marriage of Mary Magdalene Winniett and Edward How, 1744, 2 pages; a commission of Edward How as Commissary of Musters for Nova Scotia, 1749, 1 page; and a letter from Mary Magdalene Howe [sic] to Lt. John Oliver Howe, 1790, 1 page.

How, Edward, ca. 1700-1751 : Edward How, a native of Massachusetts, immigrated to Annapolis in about 1720-1725, where he became expert in dealing with the Indians. He was a member of the Council at Annapolis and in 1749, became a member of Cornwallis' first Council at Halifax.
