Stewart, Alexander : Alexander Stewart and two others were sent out by a company of Scots who wanted to immigrate, for the purpose of investigating the prospects on Prince Edward Island. The following year a large contingent of Scots arrived at Prince Edward Island on board the brig Romulus.
