Fonds consists of minutes of the various predecessors and committees of the Canadian Reconstruction Association; the sub-committee of the Tariff Committee of the Canadian Manufacturers' Association, Home Market Association, the Provisional Executive, Central District Executive and Eastern District Executive, the general meetings and the Women's Committee, 1911-1922. Also available, correspondence from Sir John Willison to T.A. Russell, 3 May 1922 and H.D. Scully to Henry Borden, 7 and 10 November 1964.

Canadian Reconstruction Association : In the autumn of 1910, the Tariff Committee of the Canadian Manufacturers' Association persuaded the Association's Council to embark upon a campaign to secure strong public support for Canada's protective tariff. A sub-committee and a trust fund were established, and out of this initiative grew the Canadian Home Market Association. The Association's executive met regularly until 9 December 1911, when organized meetings seem to have ceased. Meetings of the executive resumed on a provisional basis on 8 March 1918, and the following week a new body called the Canadian Industrial Reconstruction Association was founded. When the new Association was incorporated later in 1918, the word "Industrial" was dropped from its name. Having as its objectives the stimulation of economic development, the C.R.A. maintained operations until 1922. At the peak of its activity the Association had offices in Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg.
