Ontario Rural Leadership Forum : The Ontario Rural Leadership Committee was formed in 1953, consisting of representatives from six farm organizations and two government departments, for the purpose of providing one and two day leadership forums at the county level.

In 1957, the format was changed and its main function became to provide annual one week leadership forums. These forums had two main aims - to develop an awareness of the social and economic factors affecting rural life and to teach leadership techniques at the rural level. In 1965, it amalgamated with the Ontario Farm Radio Forum and the Ontario Folk School Council to form the Rural Learning Association.
