Description:

Canadian tourists are shown visiting the city of Cartagene, the ancient capital of Colombia, South America. The contrast between the poverty of the street peasants and the affluent visitors of apparant. Shots of the waterfront where trade ships load and unload, of huge three masted schooner under full speed, smallish street with a few automobiles and pedestrians, several prominent buildings, donkey pulled cart. Shot of freight train shunting into yard with wood from Canada, pan across harbour with fishing fleet anchored, and shot of fishermen preparing boats for fishing banks. <3mn 55s>
