Fonds consists of "Memories of the Past" the reminiscences of Ann Douglas Dawkins, ca. 1805-1830, including anecdotes of life with her father, Sir Howard Douglas, and newspaper clippings, photographs and genealogical notes. The manuscript was amended at a later date to identify the illustrations and the individuals mentioned. Also included is a copy of Leo Harvey's article "The Letter of Sir Howard Douglas", printed in the Annual Report of the Canadian Historical Association, 1926, pp. 32-40. This material is available on microfilm reel A-881.
