This consists of 8 interview and actuality cuts recorded for the CBC Radio series Our Canada, telling the story of the ordinary people, events, and developments in the railways, wheatlands, waterways, mines, airways, industries, communications, arts, governments, philanthropies and religions that have shaped Canada. There is actuality of a religious service for children, including the sound of a children's choir, talk by a woman about God, singing a hymn, a woman talking to children about God (drowned out at one point by engine noise). The children pray and sing another hymn. This is followed by another religion lesson by the unidentified woman. Louis Summers of Vancouver, British Columbia, describes the hardships of trawler fishing off the West Coast of Vancouver Island. There are six "takes" of this. A woman, born in England, describes her arrival in Vancouver in April 1912, and her happy life there ever since.
