Fonds consists of the records of the Canadian Council for Reconstruction through Unesco documenting its programmes and activities in support of the post-war reconstruction of Europe and other war-devastated areas. It contains a file on the 1947 conference on Unesco rehabilitation that led to the formation of the CCRU; correspondence of members of the executive such as Dr. James A. Gibson, C. F. Fraser, and Major Vincent Price; reports and minutes of the executive and operating committees; one copy of its newsletter; newspaper clippings relating to the CCRU; and a file about the presentation of school supplies to Lisieux, France. The photograph has been left in its original file, Reports and minutes of the executive and operating commitees, with the textual material.
