Fonds consists of subject files, financial records, monographs, periodicals, reference articles, clippings and membership files, n.d., 1942-1988.

Fonds contains photographs of the First Marijuana Peace Conference, 1978; views of downtown Windsor, Ont., and the skyline of Detroit; and the offices of NORML Canada, 75 Sparks St., Ottawa, 1979.

Fonds also contains two NORML lapel pins, n.d.

Fonds also consists of sound recordings including two radio documentaries, one on the history of marijuana use in Canada (1981) and the second on the tenth anniversary of the October crisis (1980), and radio commercials and a song supporting the position of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Lawa (ca. 1969-1983).

National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws in Canada : The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws Canada was founded in 1976 when George Baker, Molly Murphy and a group of lawyers including John Conroy, Clay Ruby, Ted Seifred and Roger Jatko were convinced that Canada needed an organization similar to NORML United States to enable marijuana consumers and other citizens to voice their concerns and pick up where the LeDain Commission had stopped in pursuit of the decriminalization of simple possession. The national office was located in Vancouver with George Baker serving as Executive Director and the lawyers acting as interim directors.

Two years later NORML Canada was incorporated as a non-profit corporation. In 1979 Andy Rapoch was elected Executive Director and the national office was moved to Ottawa. NORML Canada had chapters from coast to coast. However, fundraising was difficult and services were mainly provided by volunteers. Under the pressure of mounting financial debts and the lack of interest in the issue of decriminalization NORML Canada ceased to operate in 1984.
