Fonds consists of two letters from Duncan McFarland, Member of the Legislative Assembly, reporting the riots in Montreal and the burning of the Parliament Buildings and requesting Graybiel to establish a loyal address opposing the recall of Lord Elgin, 30 April and 24 May 1849; and a commission from the Court of Queen's Bench appointing Graybiel to take bails and recognizances in Lincoln and Welland counties, 1855.

Graybiel, John, b. 1809 : John Graybiel was a native of Upper Canada and active in the local affairs of Wainfleet Township. In later years, he operated a small school and served as Justice of the Peace.
