Marie, 1709-1986, and consists of family trees, letters, newspaper clippings, photographs and other genealogical information.Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Hamilton family, Thomas : Thomas Hamilton (1769-1831) married Anne Gilliatt (1774-1828) in 1794. In 1796, Thomas, Anne and their first born son William Archibald, left Nova Scotia for Port Dover in Upper Canada. Later, they moved to the town of York where Thomas became an overseer of highways for the town. In 1810, he was appointed deputy sheriff and in 1815, he was appointed coroner, a position which he held until his death.Additional information:General note:Presented in 1988 by Mrs. June Hamilton of Sault Ste.
