Menkis, Richard, 1953 : Richard Menkis, professor of history, received his Ph.D. from Brandeis University in 1988. He has served as Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the University of British Columbia since July 1986. His field of expertise is the history of Jews and Judaism in the Medieval and Modern Periods. He has received awards from the French Government, the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Studies as well as other organizations.
