Item is a genealogy of the Hitzroth family consisting of genealogical charts photographs, maps, and information concerning various members of the Hitzroth (Hitzeroth) families of Ontario, 1856-1986.

Hitzroth (Family) : Johannes Hitzeroth (1819-1910) son of Johann Thilo Hitzeroth and Anna Martha Koch, his wife Eva Hildebrand (1825-1908), their four children Johannes (1847-1920), Johannes Carl (1849-1928), Caroline (1851-1939), Heinrich (1855-1932) and Johannes' brother Adam (1824-1909) left Niederhone, Germany in 1856 and emigrated to Canada where they took up residence near Petersburg, Wilmot Township. Within two years, they moved to a 50 acre parcel of land in South Easthope Tp., Perth Co.

In South Easthope Tp., three more children were born to Johannes and Eva - George William (1858-1878), Mary Elizabeth (1863-1945) and Elizabeth (1868-1960). Adam, a stonemason, married Mary Elisabeth Will (1819-1903) in 1860 at Sebastopol's Lutheran Church. There was no issue from this marriage.
