Faour, Alphonsus, b. 1951 : Born on November 16, 1951 at Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Alphonsus Faour was educated at St. Francis Xavier University, the University of British Columbia and the University of Saskatchewan. A lawyer by profession, he was first elected as N.D.P. Member of Parliament for Humber-Port au Port-St Barbe Riding in a by-election in 1978. He was re-elected in 1979 and lost his seat in the general election of 1980.
