Fonds consists of a typescript text (17 pages) of the presidential address given at the 15th annual meeting of the Catholic Women's League held in Ottawa, June 1935. Entitled "History of the Catholic Women's League, 1910-1935", the text describes the founding of the League in England, the development of a national Catholic Women's League in Canada, and highlights of the League's growth and achievements throughout its first fifteen years. Included in the address, are the names of the founding members and all past presidents to 1935.

Coffey, Fanny Penfold : Fanny Penfold Coffey, organization president, was the national president of the Catholic Women's League between 1934 and 1936. The League emerged in Canada in 1920, as a national movement with chapters in most major Canadian cities. It is a Catholic lay organization, whose concerns range from education and poverty to unemployment and immigration.
