The fonds also consists of photographs depicting Lambert's career as Member of Parliament for Edmonton West, as a Cabinet Minister and as Speaker of the House of Commons as well as Montreal Space Research Institute projects held by the Engineering Development and Firing Laboratory, Highwater, Quebec; Harp Missile experiments and installations, Highwater, Quebec, Barbados, and West Indies, 1962-1967; NORAD project, 1963; Canadian Flag project, 1964; NATO, 1981.
Also included in this fonds are 15 political lapel buttons, mostly relating to Progressive Conservative Party leadership conventions.
Finally, the fonds also includes sound recordings, ca. 1970-1983, consisting of hearings of the Progressive Conservative Task Force on Productivity led by co-chairman Lambert, M.P. and Senator Lowell Murray. There is also a sound recording of songs by David Haisel about the Progressive Conservative Party and its leader, former Premier of Nova Scotia, Robert Stanfield.
Fonds consists of electoral maps, chiefly of Edmonton, acquired by Marcel Lambert during his term as Member of Parliament for Edmonton West.Provenance:Additional name(s):Biography/Administrative history:Lambert, Marcel, 1919-2000 : Marcel Lambert, politician, born on August 21, 1919, at Edmonton, Alberta, was educated at the University of Alberta (Commerce) and Oxford University, England (Law). He served in World War II as Lieutenant King's Own Calgary Regiment 1940-1945 and was Prisoner of War after Dieppe Raid, 1942-1945. He was called to the Bar of Alberta in 1951.
Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for the Constituency of Edmonton West, 1957-1984, he served as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of National Defence, 1957-8, National Revenue, 1959-1962, Speaker of the House of Commons, 1962-1963 and Minister of Veterans Affairs, 1963.
