Fonds consists of a manuscript entitled "Notes on the Training of the Battalion Intelligence Section" (1919) by Major Nevill A.D. Armstrong, based largely on a study of "open warfare" operations during the closing phase of World War I, 10 cm; twenty-two diaries covering Armstrong's short stay in New Mexico and his life in the Yukon Territory as a miner and leader of hunting expeditions. 1894-1926, 20 cm.

Armstrong, Nevill A. D. (Alexander Drummond), 1874-1954 : Major Nevill A.D. Armstrong, military officer and miner, was born in London, England and enlisted in the 48th British Regiment in 1915. He served in France, England and Canada, before he was demobilized in 1920.
