Body, C. W. E. (Charles William Edmund), 1851-1912 : Reverend W.E. Body was born in Surrey, England and educated at St. John's College, Cambridge. He came to Canada from St. John's where he lectured in theology, 1878-1881, to become the second Provost and Vice-Chancellor of Trinity College in Toronto. While Provost, Body campaigned successfully to increase the endowment fund, enlarged the University, established St. Hilda's College, and broadened the curriculum. He retired in 1894. Morgan, Henry.
