Moyer, Moses, 1858-ca.1925 : Moses Moyer was born at Breslau, Waterloo County. In 1877 he established a creamery in his home town, and for the next decade he was instrumental in the promotion of new production methods in the Ontario dairy industry. In 1885 he was elected first secretary of the newly formed Creameries Association of Ontario. In 1889 Moyer established a produce and commission merchant's business in Toronto with his son, Addison. The firm of M. Moyer and Son operated until 1907. From 1908 to 1910 Moses Moyer was president of Nash Thermostats Ltd. During this period he was very active in the Retail Merchants Association of Canada. He continued to reside in Toronto until about 1925.
